    I love my job. I love my team…. But 2 years of management has destroyed my body…2 years of devolving into who we think of as “our clients” (sedentary, bad diet, sore back, looooong stints at the computer, high stress) has taught me just as much as recovery from illness did. And the the old adage “you don’t use it you lose it” has been deeply driven home.

    Fitness isn’t a destination, just like life isn’t. It’s a process, and that’s what’s great about it. As our priorities shift and evolve, our bodies (and, in turn, minds) will as well. I’m at the crossroads where I’ve grown into my job enough that I can shift at least part of my priority back to myself and my wellness.

If your goal is true independence and a life without fear, the ability to move and own your body confidently in a space is one vehicle to get there.

Sometimes you just need a change in perspective 🤔 . . . I haven't posted much the last few months as I underwent some huge personal transformations. Some days have been a struggle; other days the progress has been obvious. Through it all my meditation and self care have let me see my own resiliency. They've taught me to look beyond my flitting thoughts to my deeper self and work to my real truths. They've also shown me that much of life is what I do with it and how I interpret what's happening around me. . . . Things will get hard, they'll feel weird, you won't understand it - keep going. Explore the challenge. Hunt for someone who's handled something similar and learn from them. Struggling with your hand balancing asanas? ....are you warming up your wrists well?.. 🤔 😱 We spend time warming up our hips and shoulders, but neglect our poor wrists!! Here's are 5 quick wrist warm ups... I suggest trying Crow, doing this sequence, and then do Crow again to feel the difference! .. 💁‍♀️ . ➡️with fingers toward you and the back of your handss on the mat, sit back and stretch your wrist one way. . . ➡️with fingers toward you put your palms on the mat, sit back, and stretch your wrist the other way . . ➡️roll your wrists in circles on the floor . . ➡️interlace your fingers behind your back and press your palms towards the floor . . ➡️reach one hand forward and stretch with the other hand. First palm up, then palm down. Repeat on the other side. . . How's that Crow Pose feel now?
