  3. The (Fitness) Journey Never Ends – it just changes

I love my job. I love my team…. But 2 years of management has destroyed my body…2 years of devolving into who we think of as “our clients” (sedentary, bad diet, sore back, looooong stints at the computer, high stress) has taught me just as much as recovery from illness did. And the the old adage “you don’t use it you lose it” has been deeply driven home.

Fitness isn’t a destination, just like life isn’t. It’s a process, and that’s what’s great about it. As our priorities shift and evolve, our bodies (and, in turn, minds) will as well. I’m at the crossroads where I’ve grown into my job enough that I can shift at least part of my priority back to myself and my wellness.

  4. Physical Strength is Feminist

If feminist is about equal expectation for everyone and women not being afraid or thought of as ‘less than’ or ‘other’, and if you can train to improve strength, isn’t strength training in itself an expression of feminism? If your goal is true independence and a life without fear, the ability to move and own your body confidently in a space is one vehicle to get there.

When the Universe gives you what you needed, say "Thank You!" . . 2018 was a really challenging year. Personally. Professionally. Spiritually. One of the most important things I learned along the way was to stop questioning when I get what I need. Instead I express gratitude! . . Time and again I'd be presented with exactly the growth opportunity or essential thing I NEEDED to survive...and I'd question it! I'd doubt if it was the right choice or if I could pull it off πŸ€¦β€β™€οΈ - until it became so obvious that my doubts were foolish. I was right where I needed to be. . . For #transfomationtuesday share in the comments some gratitude for times you were given exactly what you needed! πŸ’“πŸ’“ . . #dropthedoubt #motivation #anothergrowthopportunity #growandchange #gratitude #universalguidance #modernspirituality #thankyou #saythankyou
"Age" has never been my challenge. I don't mind getting older - I don't mind getting wiser, stronger, and more resilient πŸ’ͺπŸ’œ = = My challenges have been negative self talk, the aftermath of bad decisions, and the frustration of not living up to my personal best. Cultivating a growth mindset and working on my relationship with myself has shifted all that. = = We are all a work in progress, and my work is certainly not done. May the next 10 years have the vision and challenges to teach me lessons I can't even imagine right now. = = #howharddidaginghityouchallenge #growthmindset #levelup #curlyhair #selftalk #positivity #positivevibepositivemind #coaching #coachmentality
