This week’s Wisdom Wednesday is plucked from an article that my friend Bill Hayes recently had published in the NY Times, “Plato’s Body, and Mine“.

Plato knew, all those centuries ago, that neither the mind nor the body can be neglected if we are to thrive.  Bill points out that one of histories greatest philosophers was also a talented wrestler and committed to fitness.  It’s easy for those of us in the health and wellness industry to get caught up talking about all the things you should do for your body, but don’t let it be at the sacrifice of your mind.

Back from a weekend in the woods by myself, feeling a sense of freedom and accomplishment. . . It's so easy in our lives to focus on the daily challenges.
