As mentioned in Something New #19, running is a bit evil. I don’t find it fun or relaxing or meditative; and given the length of my legs its also regularly painful. But I told myself I was going to do this thing and dang-nabit I’m gana!
On Tuesday I set out on my first Couch to 5K training session, which is designed for people that haven’t worked out since High School. I’m about 4 steps beyond couch potato, so I opted to skip to week 3. Unfortunately, none of the Droid apps for Couch to 5K are quite as powerful as one would want so we had some timer malfunctions. Despite that, I was able to complete it easily and I haven’t really been sore. All and all, I feel like I can do this and like the world isn’t going to end when I keep it up next week.
